KMB Carnival for the Elderly

Helping Hand believes in the power of community and providing memorable experiences for our residents. KMB recently invited our elderly residents and their families to a fantastic event at their depot. This was more than just a gathering; it was a heartfelt celebration that evoked joy, nostalgia, and connection.
A Day to Remember
There were around 200 residents and their families who attended the event. The moment our residents arrived at the KMB depot, smiles lit up their faces. The opportunity to see—and even step onto—the nostalgic buses was a highlight for many. The buses were more than just vehicles; they represented cherished memories and stories from their past and connection.
The engaging FRN team - KMB volunteering team, added warmth to the event by organising interactive games to foster camaraderie among residents and their families. A delightful singing performance added to the festive ambiance, with residents swaying to familiar tunes, from golden pop hits to recent Canton pop, inviting everyone to join in. Each resident also received thoughtful gifts, serving as a lovely reminder of their value and appreciation.
