Housing for the Elderly offers residential services to elderly individuals who can mostly care for themselves but need housing support due to family or financial challenges.

This provides innovative and engaging activities, along with accommodation equipped with accessibility facilities, to encourage and enhance seniors' participation in the community.

Annual ​Boccia Competition for the Elderly



Since 2003, Helping Hand has introduced and promoted this sport to the elderly, providing training that allows them to showcase their abilities and enjoy the activity.

We currently manage six elderly homes and the only recreational  centre for seniors in Hong Kong. We provide our residents with quality residential care, compassionate support, rehabilitative services, and specialised dementia care.

Donation

Helping Hand is not fully government-funded. We rely on corporate and public donations to cover operating costs and other basic necessities. 


Methods to donate   

Volunteering

We invite companies and individuals to volunteer with our elderly residents. You are welcome to visit our residential homes and day care units, giving residents a chance to stay connected with the outside world.

Fundraising

Over the years, we have depended on generous donations from the public and corporate sectors to cover our operating expenses. Each year, we need an additional $10 million to $13 million in donations, alongside some fixed and predictable income.

We collaborated with Hong Kong Shifts, a social enterprise that uses storytelling to connect, empower, and mobilise, to share the heartwarming stories of our elderly and staff through the #HandinHand Campaign.
