Elderly Services

Each year, Helping Hand supports approximately 1,000 elderly residents and provides outreach services to an additional 40,000 elderly community members.

Residential Services

We manage six senior homes in Hong Kong and an integrated elderly home in Zhaoqing that serves Hong Kong residents.

We operate three self-care homes, providing accommodation to elderly who can care for themselves but require housing due to family, financial or other issues. We also run three nursing homes, which provide services such as housing, meals, nursing care, personal care, rehabilitation, and counselling to the elderly who are frail or suffering from dementia and are unable to care for themselves.

In Zhaoqing, we operate and manage a large-scale comprehensive nursing home to offer retired Hong Kong elders (including those on the waiting list for subsidised nursing home and those suffering from dementia) and immediate and low-cost new retirement option.

Special Community Projects

Delivering Daily Necessities to elderly

CCB International Holdings Ltd sponsored this project, which aimed to connect corporations with local elderly individuals. Corporate volunteers visit the elderly in our homes and provide food and oil to those who live alone in the district, encouraging communication and connection.

Caring Elderly Campaign

Our three residential homes regularly provide soup, fruit, and desserts to our residents and the elderly in the community who live alone or are in need.

"Hot Meal" and “Hot Meal Ambassador” Project for the needy elderly

On a daily basis, Food Angel provides low-cost lunches to residents of our self-care homes as well as the community's elderly in need. In addition, sponsored by Shang Sin Chung Tong, our residents serve as hot meal ambassadors, delivering hot meals to elders in the community who have limited mobility in order to develop mutually beneficial relationships.

Annual Hong Kong Boccia Competition for the Elderly

Since 2003, Helping Hand has introduced and promoted this sport to the elderly, as well as provided related training, so that they can demonstrate their abilities and enjoy the sport.
