Donation
Helping Hand is not entirely government-funded. We rely on external support for additional care facilities, equipment, furniture, repairs and renovations, as well as indoor and outdoor activities, and specialised nutritional foods.
Additionally, we require external sponsorships and donations for various special community projects and caregiver support services to improve our offerings and extend our reach.
We need your support to improve the lives of the needy elderly in Hong Kong.

Fundraising
Over the years, we have relied on generous donations from both the public and corporate sectors to cover our operating expenses. To maintain our financial stability and fund new service projects, we need an additional $10 million to $13 million in donations annually, along with some fixed and predictable income.

Cookie Campaign
The Cookie Campaign has been held annually since 1984
and is Helping Hand’s signature fundraiser.
Funds raised from cookie sales help to support the
running costs of Helping Hand’s elderly homes and services.

Volunteering
We invite companies and individuals to provide volunteer services to our elderly residents. You might teach interest classes, offer specialised services like photography, design, reading and hair cutting, help organising indoor and outdoor activities, assist with home maintenance, or support fundraising efforts. We welcome your creative ideas and participation.
Additionally, organisations, schools, groups, and individuals are encouraged to visit our residential homes and day care units, providing residents with valuable connections to the outside world.
