Announcement of new CEO

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN 

On behalf of the Executive Committee of Helping Hand, Iwould like to inform you that we have appointed Mr Sandy Macalister to succeed Mr Colman Wong as our CEO, upon his retirement on 1 April 2023. M.r Wong has served our organisation since 1992, with commitment, dedication and excellence. His
remarkably long service included holding the position of Chief Executive Officer since 2019 during which time he led our organisation successfully through some of the most difficult times in our history. His contribution has been immense.

Sandy Macalister has lived in Asia for over 40 years. He has served as General Manager for private clubs and operational and hospitality enterprises, in roles that saw him manage a range of recreation, well-being, and sports facilities in Hong Kong, New
Zealand and Myanmar. For seven years, he was the Executive Director ofthe Society for Prevention of Crueltyt o Animals, a role that afforded him deep insight and experience into Hong Kong's NGO landscape, Government regulations, and community
engagement. Sandy, who has an MBA from the University Leicester, calls Hong Kong home, he is married with three adult daughters and six grandchildren who all live in Hong Kong.
